waiting
So thru out genesis ppl lived longer than we did. But ppl also waited longer than we did. We live in such a fast generation. It's quick. It's a bit nuts. Have deadlines, schedules, assistants to maintain those schedules, organisers, to do lists and what not!
In the OT, u c many. Ppl who had to wait. Jacob was one of them. First off he was willing to wait seven years for Rachel. That is a long time. And after that he got Leah. It took another week for him to get Rachel but he had to work for another seven years in return.
That's a tough place to be in.
I feel that our timelines with God are shorter than they should be. He is an eternal God who sees. Hints from beginning to end. If He chooses not to work on our tight schedule, then we should be okay with that - without cribbing or whinging.
Where am I impatient with God? Is it in wanting quick success in work? Or wantin more things too fast? Or in wanting heart issues to be dealt with ASAP? Where am I wanting God to get a move on...???
