Proper-ness
I've always wondered how we come up with what is proper, you know? If you think about it, what is "proper" dress today would have been considered disgusting 50 years ago, and would have been downright lewd and indecent 100 years ago.
But you look at these verses, and you can begin to grasp how to judge what is proper action. And if we followed this according to God's standard of morality or purity, or of fellowship or thankfulness... we would never have to worry about things like defining "proper" dress or "proper" behavior... Our internal moral compass would be pointed at God - and it would only be natural to do what is right, instead of selfishly do what we think is pleasing to us.
