In Truth, Humility and Justice
S- In your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let your right hand achieve awesome deeds.
O- The psalmist here is addressing King David. Truth, humility and justice are to be his goals. His hand will achieve awesome deeds. This goes along with the theme I have been seeing of being a voice for the voiceless and acting on behalf of those who do not have power. That is what David is being exhorted to do in truth, justice and humility. A- It's not about me. The reading today is juxtaposed with Ecclesiastes: everything is meaningless. But there are some things that have to be done that do have meaning and make a difference in the lives of others. I want to do those. I want people to be different because I spoke to them.
P- God, give me the strength to speak your name to people I don't know.
