Is your face SON burned?

Psalm 34:5 "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."

People's faces sure tell a lot about them.  On Sunday mornings during the summertime you can easily determine who spent time in the sun the week prior.  It is especially clear for those who wore sun glasses and have the nice "racoon" expression.  Your face also tells others what you have been "looking at" or to what you have been paying attention.  If you are worried, afraid, angry, discouraged, or sad it is usually apparent to others that something is wrong by your countenance.   On the other hand some really good news in your heart is hard to keep back and people usually ask you "What are you so happy about"?  This verse says that "those who look to Him are radiant".  That means your face should shine with joy from looking to the promises of God.  Your countenance should glow from having such a gaze unto Jesus Christ as your hope and salvation that others can see your "SON tan.  The most mature Christians I have met have faces that declare a peaceful expression as they dwell upon and look intently at God's glorious promises.  If you had to judge by looking, you would think that they are having the best of days even in the middle of a trial.  So turn your eyes to Jesus in the storm and watch God get glory as you reflect the real SON!
