Faith Creates

6 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.7 Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.8 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. (Philippians 4:6-8 MSG)

Worry is a negative form of faith. What we focus on, we move toward and build in our lives.

When you do defensive driving courses they tell you to ALWAYS focus on where you want to go.
For example, if your car is skidding out of control towards a tree, you must resist the urge to focus on the tree (as this will make you steer in that direction - crazy I know!) but rather you should focus on the road where you wish to end up.

It's like that in life… when we focus on the negative, when we feed worry and negativity, it grows and it's gravity pulls us in that direction.

"The worst of my fears has come true,
what I’ve dreaded most has happened." (Job 3:25 MSG)

So instead, lift up your concerns to the one who can actually do something about it!
And as you shift your focus to Him, you'll see the provision He puts in your path.
