The Best Commandment
No, I didn't say the Greatest Commandment, I said the best! If you're a parent, you understand.
And it's not about being right, or having a rush from holding power over your kids. It's about how awesome things are when it works as God designed it.
When you have a rebellious child, there's two issues - the struggle that produces heartache when the kids do not obey - and the heartache of watching a child head into serious trouble, because they didn't obey.
If you are a child, listen to this: You don't have the wisdom to make all the decisions yourself - and you don't have the maturity to deal with the consequences when you make the wrong decision. Just make this first decision: Follow your parents' rules, because that's the way God intended. If your parents are the idiots, then God will deal with them - not you.
