A woman on her way from Prescott to Phoenix was robbed and severely beaten at a rest area. The thieves stole her money, shoes & jacket and beat & raped her. They then left her for dead lying on the sidewalk and drove off in her car.

As it happened, a pastor stopped by that way and saw the woman but he thought there was a good chance she was dead anyway and so the pastor continued on his way to go and win people to Christ since he had seen a police car headed in their direction and figured it was being taken care of, plus he really couldn’t spare the time since he was already late to picking up his daughter at the airport. So instead, he carefully drove by and hurried away — as he left he had a brief thought about how if conservatives were in charge of the government these sorts of crimes wouldn’t happen nearly so much.

A few moments later, an usher at a local church passed by the same way but he observed that the woman was naked and wondered how it might be perceived if someone saw him near the naked woman and assumed it was the appearance of evil. So he too carefully drove by the wounded woman.

But then along came an atheist, homosexual Democrat who taught Evolutionary Biology at the local community college. He was driving a Prius & had a pro Barak Obama bumper sticker. He saw the woman and took pity on her. He called an ambulance and sat with the wounded woman, laid his jacket over her and held her hand until the paramedics came. Then he followed her to the hospital and handed them his Visa card and said “Whatever she owes on her bills you can charge it to me. And if she needs anything here is my cell phone number, just give me a call.”
