Hope After Death

One of my favorite lyrics to a song is from Lecrae, "death is not a period, its just a comma." And while the actual thought of death and the actualization of dying is quite different, the issue of hope and faith that Berk discusses becomes reality. The difference is that hope and faith is not just a, feel good, thought process as she alludes to. It is not an illusion that we have created in our minds that will allow for a much easier transition into non-existence. And while there are other methods of easing the death process like hospice care, music, having a comfortable place to die, there is no place better than in the arms of our Lord, Savior, Creator, "Alpha and Omega,... beginning and the ending,... which is, and which was, and which is to come" (Rev 1:8) I know the only thing that will help me when it is my time is that "the Lord is my strength and song, and has become my salvation" (PS 118:14).
Remember "death is just a comma", not the end, but a new beginning. A transitional state of being that occurs where one moment we are here and the next we will be in front of our Lord and savior, beginning the rest of our new lives. The only thing we must do is accept Him to be our Lord and Savior.
