What Are You WEARING!!!??
This whole chapter is filled with awesome things that just make you stop and think about what kind of Christian you really are. But when I got to the last verse in this chapter, I thought about everything we put on. Ok so this might be a tad bit directed to the ladies ;)
We take so much time and effort into looking great for the day and especially if we have somewhere important to go. We pick out every piece of clothing and accessory with detail, and yet sometimes we forget the most important thing. You know what I'm talking about...Jesus. I know you saw that one coming right?
I have been guilty of this a lot. It's like I'm not really concerned about God today, I haven't really spent that much time with Him. I also feel like I'm going fine in my relationship with God, even though I haven't prayed or read my Bible. So then I go about my everyday business and when a car pulls out in front of me, it just about ruins my day. Did I put on Jesus Christ? Obviously not.
If we put on Jesus Christ, would we yell at our children, nag at our husbands, would we gossip out that lady at work? If we put on Jesus Christ would we complain about everything or choose to be thankful for what we have? If we put on Jesus Christ, would we be ready to pray for someone or let a need pass us by?
I think we're all a little guilty here. Especially me! And I'm sure if you admit it, you are too. That's the great thing about being human, you don't have to be wrong all by yourself, there will always be others :~)
Thank God that each day is brand new and we have a chance to start over and this time, put on Christ before heading out that door.
