Their waiting involved much effort and faith

Simeon
Waiting for comfort
Holy Spirit promised he would see Messiah before he died
When he saw baby Jesus, praised God, and prophesied

Anna
Waiting for redemption
Prophetess
A widow for many years
Constantly worshipped in the temple, fasting and praying
Mingled her voice with Simeon's, speaking "at that very moment"

A Christmas List
Marvel at the miracle of Christmas - marvel that God came to Earth and became one of us
Be moved by the holy spirit - moved to express my own faith -
Share the message of Christmas - without Jesus Christ there can really be no life
