BOLD Opportunity
but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the servant girl on duty there and brought Peter in. "You aren't one of this man's disciples too, are you?" she asked Peter.
He replied, "I am not." (John 18:16, 17 NIV)
I've wondered a lot today about what could have been for Peter. The whole chapter of John 18 passes back and forth. Jesus is speaking BOLDly and Peter is shrinking away fullfilling Jesus' words, but I wonder what would have happened that day if Peter had answered with "Truth".
My conclusion... Be a BOLD truthteller! I imagine myself in Peter's shoes. When he looked back on that day I wonder if he saw utter failure on his part or was more heartbroken at missed opportunity to be near Jesus. Could you imagine how scripture would be written and how Peter would be remembered if He had? Don't miss an opportunity today to be with Jesus by being BOLD in your speech! Speak Truth in love.
