Here in Mark 2:4-12 we see Jesus doing what only God can do, forgive sins. The teachers knew this, they studied the scriptures so they were well aware that when Jesus said, "Young man, your sins are forgiven" that he was putting himself equal with God. Jesus, knowing all things called them out on their thoughts and motives- again proving that he is above physical laws. Not only did he heal the man physically but he breathed life in him eternally. Just another proof from Scripture that Jesus Christ is God.
