The Kingdom of God, God's Power All Comprehensive
Luke 8:1 They, the twelve and Jesus, and many others including Joanna who probably lived in the household of Herod (for the gospel has no bounds and seeks those who are demon possessed and those who have stature) were going through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. It is time in verses 22-56 where Jesus no longer proclaims the Kingdom but demonstrates the Kingdom to His disciples. The disciples were with Him for all the miracles, in all the demonstrating of the KIngdom.
Jesus is demonstrating that He has authority over nature (verse 22-25), over the spirit world (26-40), over sickness (43-48), and even death(49-56). His power and authority knows no limits. Nothing is outside His rule and authority, there is no category animate and inanimate outside his influence and reign. His power and authority is comprehensive.
That is very comforting to know, that our God, the One we serve and joy in is in complete control.
