Creation Vs Evolution
It all comes down to the beginning. Do you believe that God created the earth in 6 days or 6 Billion years? What if God was trying to tell us something that was impossible for early man to comprehend. If I were to go back in time just 200 years and tell them all matter is made up of microscopic atoms they would dunk me in the river and call me a witch. If God knows one thing (and since He knows everything) it is human nature. We are not going to understand how the universe was created. Even now if God were to come down and try to explain things to us in our enlightened state it would be like explaining quantum physics to a 1st grader. I think he is drawing word pictures in Genesis to help us understand the order of things so that we might know and understand him over time. Also there are messages laced throughout these scriptures that can be used in everyday life. The most basic one is work 6 rest one.
