Preparing Cornelius

God seemed to choose Cornelius because of he was a devotion, his and his family's fear of God, his generosity, and his desire to communicate with God.
Even with all this going for the man, or perhaps because of it, God sent a powerful message to him giving pretty specific details about what he was needing to do at the time. I do notice that he doesn't give any reason why this should be done, but God must have been convincing enough that it needs to be done since Cornelius sees the instructions through.
