News Report

Good news for there times. I love br NBC'S news anchor Brian Williams, buy the products promoted in the commercials, and dial back in to the terror report. What, the DOW dropped again? Got to worry about something, right?

Oh we get a little good news, the "making a difference" report at the end off the segment helps.

But, SOMEWHERE out there (pick any city in Afghanistan for example ) there is unrest. At night we toss and turn wondering about our loved ones on the battlefield. Or maybe a family member collecting an unemployment check. We worry.

So what do these verses tell us? Is God there watching? Is he concerned about the affairs of men?

The palmist reminds us of God's protection. Is this prophetic or real a in the "here and now"?

What matters is this: in our distress he watches over us. WE are not alone. The nightly news doesn't need to make us merely consumers of information nor cause us to panic.

He lives us!
