Don't Skip Over the Servants
Nehemiah 7 is one of those chapters that we might easily skip when we're on our mad dash to get through the Bible in a year, but this chapter represents God's thoughts about the place of servants within His work. Not only are the governors of the work in God's view, but the singers and gatekeepers are recorded in Scripture for posterity's sake as well.
Our tendency is to skip over the least, the most quiet, but servants are the ones who change the world and grab the attention of God.
