God's Sovereignty over Either Choice

One characteristic of God is that he is omniscient or all knowing. The Bible teaches us that he knew us before the foundations of the earth & he had his reigns on us when we were in our mothers womb. The theological implication is that God knows every decision we make and the outcome of those decision.

This passage is amazing because God tells the King the outcome of either choice he makes. If the King surrender's all will go well for the kingdom. If he doesn't surrender then the city will be destroyed. We find out in the next chapter that since the king didn't surrender that the city was destroyed.

Some would say that since the King didn't surrender then it was God's will that the city was destroyed. Based on this scripture it appears that God would have still be Sovereign regardless of what decision the king made.

When I read the scriptures I see that God is Sovereign whether we act like Adam and disobey God or whether we follow after Jesus and obey God.
