Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

God is love. His love moves us past our fears. It is only when we move past fear, we begin to walk by faith.

All too often i find myself making decision based or rooted in fear. I dont have to live crippled or controlled by fear. There is a healthy fear or respect and awe for God. But that is something that should draw me in to the protective nature of my heavenly Father.

Where do i stop short because of fear? Where do fall prey to unhealthy judgement of others because of my own insecurity? Where and what do I hold onto in an atttempt to control because of fear?

Father, may i rest and realize the full dimension of your love. May that be the basis for all i do. AMEN.
