Being a sheep

Most of the time when you would see sheep being led those in the middle I don't know if are following the shepherd but are following those who are dedicated on the outside to following the shepherd... Could it be that those on the outside are those who God calls to be people such as friends, pastors, those who are sold out... Hmmmm... Just a thought
