Where is the one?

Jesus was born during the time of Herod -- during a time when it was not profitable to be born a counter-king, Jesus is born. This counter-narrative is directly couched within the text, Jesus and Herod are opposed to one another.

The Magi are clued into what was going on. They have come looking for him.

"We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him."

When the star rises, people are compelled to come.
