The Spoken Word Creates, Sustains, Destroys

In Gen 1:3 we read God created the heavens and the Earth by speaking. In Hebrews 1:3, we read Jesus sustains all things through his powerful word. And in Psalms 46:6, we read that when He lifts His voice, the earth melts. God creates, sustains and ultimately destroys thorugh the words that He speaks.

Being made in the image of God, our words have a similar effect. What are we creating, sustaining or destroying when we open our mouth?
