Writing someone's story...
It says, "This is the story of Jacob. Joseph..."
Its interesting that Jacob's story is written by Joseph's actions. The story has nothing to do with Jacob. But he is defined by Joseph's story.
Often, religion points to past stories and traditions. Jacob's story is about the future and what WILL happen. Jacob's story is selfless. He's not the star of his own story. Its a Jesus story.
Maybe if our stories were less about us and more about Jesus (or others), our story would be as good as Joseph's...I mean, Jacob's.
