Reading this on the surface level, you can see it is the story of God creating plants. But their is also science in this as well. note that at the end of the verses, the author notes the plants are to have seeds after its own kind? It means exactly that, there has never been an apple tree that grew oranges. It is not Biblically sound, and not Scientifically sound. Yet what evolutionists are teaching that not only do seed baring plants, eventually make a different seed baring plant, but they also say animals also came from that same ancestor. a tiny cell
