Sweet Surrender

Jesus didn't say, "Come to church and drink." He said, "Come to ME and drink."

The ocean of grace is a moving current and when you dive into grace it will take you somewhere.

The falls of his mercy and the river of his grace aren't safe... But it is good.

Jesus is not safe... But he is good. And he is the King.

Why not surrender?
1. Don't want to give up control
2. Don't want any tough turns in the journey
3. We don't like not knowing where our destination is

Jesus' surrender story
- God in Heaven
- Left heaven
- Became a man
- Walked a cross of shame
- He suffered and died
- Busted out of a tomb
- Ascended in to heaven
- Seated on a throne
- Will return for us
- He will judge/restore/reward
- He will reign forever

Sweet surrender is simply acknowledging what is real (God is in charge) and what is best

Untie- Surrendering means letting go of safe
Truth- He is good
Work- As though it is up to me
Expect- His power to propel
