Fight the good fight of the faith. 1 Timothy 6:12
The battle of faith is with Sense Knowledge and Reasoning. Man’s word has been against the word of God since the beginning. The real struggle is with Sense – Knowledge that governs the human race. Faiths worst enemy is sense – knowledge, it will never give the Word first place, it will it admire the word, but not obey it and now even some believe that mans words of science has more authority than the Word of God!
The only weapon that can be used against the fight of faith is the Sword of the Spirit - Bible. There are two types of truths of sense – knowledge. Remember the real struggle is with Sense – Knowledge that governs the human senses: 1. The Word of God. 2. That comes from the human sensory: see touch or hear when used in its true purpose.
There isn’t a problem with sense-knowledge until it contradicts the Word. The Word says what it says (we walk by faith of the word) and not by the truth that comes from the senses. (Assists us with physical practices water’s hot, etc). Sinners rely on the senses not the word they will search for physical evidence to support the senses however believers are governed by the word; walking in faith.
So many times we allow our circumstances to dictate what’s real bring forth disbelief thus searching for more reasoning evidence regarding the matter. It is imperative that we are studying the word in order to over come the battle of faith of sense –knowledge. Ex “Pain” is a human sensory remember the pain doesn’t change the word, but the word can change the pain. “By his stripes I am healed” You where healed before the pain even came upon you; you’ve got to believe that God has done what he said he would do…..
The enemy spoke to Adam and Eve using reasoning which opened the door to sin. Psalm 1: 1-6 tells us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly; their thinking is based on negative emotions. But when we focus / stand on the word day /night and let it mature and we will prosper, but the sinner will operate with their senses which will cause them to perish.
John 17:14-17 tells us that He has given us the word which will distinguish us from the world’s way of doing things. Don’t let the influences of the world move you from the influences of the word while you are in this world; we are not of this world but we are in this world; are my decisions based on the word or the world. You’ve got to restrain yourself from your own senses (be true to yourself) or reasoning with the scriptures.
If you don’t stand on the word then you are operating with the senses. However the enemy will cause you to focus and use the senses until they declare that sense- knowledge is more real than word- truth. Ex “I’m broke, well let’s sow a seed and believe God” Understand the Word is more real than your lack. Your lack exist because of what happens when you’re dealing with things of the world but when you’re in the Word it’s true regardless of what you see or don’t see and to hang on to that truth long enough will change your circumstances.
Another term for sense-knowledge truth is “Facts of life” ex: you have cancer – fact, but if you’re going to live by that fact then you have to deal with the other things to support those facts, but if you live by the truth, then you are operating in faith which changes the facts. God’s word changes facts, facts are temporary but the word is eternal. (Facts – temporary > came from the truth - eternal > came from God causing temporary to line up with the truth of God’s word) So when the enemy shows up – fact and you operate in the truth – eternal he must flee – lined up with the word… Remember 1Peter 5:8 says the enemy is like a roaring lion seeking to devour. The enemy has to seek if he can devour you. Is the enemy standing before you or God, are you wearing the armor of the Lord Eph 6:13 understanding your authority in the truth of God’s word!! 1John 4:4, Matt 10:1
Understand this, what you feeling does not make it so, but the word in spite of your feelings (sense-knowledge) makes it so. The Lord has set the blessing in motion it will work when we are at rest or until you stop trying to do something; you must rest in the Lord first. 1kings 5:4
Jeremiah 17:5 tells us that we are always going to have choices. Cursed is the man who trusts in man; you are out of line with what the word says. Gal 4:21- speaks about living under the law. Are the things in your life born out of Gods promise as in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 or born by the flesh. His children were born out of a promise, which are eternal, but are you trying to birth your own promises in the flesh which is temporary. “I walk in faith not by my sense-knowledge”
