A Good soldier
A good soldier of Christ does not entangle himself with civilian affairs. (1Cor 9:24-27). Paul says that there is a good fight of faith. in this fight there is the necessity of discipline and perseverance. This fight of faith also has the transparency of being witnessed of others. it is also a lifestyle evangelism. We need to lay hold of eternal life with a firm grip. if our gaze is moved away from Jesus, it could mean that our grip on eternity is slowly loosening and we could fall. we need to run this race with perseverance, objective and serious discipline. (Heb 12:1-2)
