Some Leftovers for a Test

Interesting here how God left some nations in place as He would use them to keep Israel in check and test them to see whether or not they would return to Him in times of trial.

What has God allowed in our lives to act as a testing agent to 'help' us walk better with Him? And is it there because of our own foolishness?
