The preeminence of people
It is a breath of fresh air when you hear from God, the Author of Sabbath and all other laws governing life, bringing in the right perspective.
There’s a tendency to get so enamored with the laws that we forget what and who they exist for. People give meaning and life to laws. Without people there would be no laws, because laws don’t have value in of themselves. We need to keep this in mind when we try to understand laws and need to implement them. Jesus is offering us in here a great example.
