Leviticus 11 applicable today
The chapter is old law but it is still something that can be of use today. Notice that most of the animals in the chapter that we are told not to eat or even tough are filthy animals to start with. This isn't just the law for the sake of the law, but it is law for the sake of cleanliness. While we in todays culture love eating pork, pigs are actually quite unclean. We must take God's word to heart and understand what He is trying to tell us here: that while we can eat it, it is not necessarily healthful to eat it. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost and we are to treat our bodies as such.
