Not Rules for rules' sake
We've come to the point in this country where we think we have to uphold these "rules" in order for God to love an accept us. It's just not true! Did God wait until the Israelites were following these "rules" before He loved and accepted them? Heck No!!!
God had already found favor with the Israelite and let them out of Egypt and freed them from slavery. He gave them these rules BECAUSE He loves them.
It's the same with us. God doesn't expect us to follow the rules before we can have a relationship with Him. Rules without Relationship results in Rebellion. We're supposed to establish the relationship with a God who already loves us, and then we'll WANT TO follow the "rules" because we're so in love with God.
