Jesus knows our thoughts, intentions and why we do the things we do.
Jesus teaches us that all people are free or in bondage.
Sons are not taxed only those that are strangers will be taxed.
Jesus said nevertheless, don't cause those who are not Sons to stumble by not doing what is right.
Peter went to Jesus for the answer. Jesus will give us the means to do what we know is right.
Jesus says if you're not like this child you will not enter Heaven. Jesus provides the means to salvation, to do what is right, to
Don't be offensive to other believers. Jesus is making a point PAY ATTENTION!
Whoever causes a little one to stumble, sin, trip up should be self condemned.
Get rid of everything that is causing you to sin.
What's offensive to people around us?
Being shady. Being dishonest. Will this cause others to stumble?
Cheating on tests. Will this cause others to stumble?
Acting one way in Church and another in public? Will this cause others to stumble?
Is the TV program your watching offensive? Will this cause you or others to stumble?
Do you have friends who aren't doing any good for you? Will this cause others to stumble?
Do you gossip about others? Will this cause others to stumble?
Don't let the things you see or do trip you up.
Take drastic measures to not be offensive to others and to remove the things coming into your life that offend you.
If you hang on to that vice or that offense that you like or are used to you will both end up in hell.
Peter said yes when asked about paying the temple tax because he knew His Master well enough to know that He would always do what was right and not offend others.
If its good with Jesus its good with me. if you can't give an excuse that's justified by Jesus then it is not acceptable to you or anyone else either.
God is not going to force you do the right thing. Love is a choice.
We have an opportunity as followers of Jesus Christ to take our calling seriously. Don't be offensive to yourself or others. Enter the kingdom as a child and meet Jesus confidently.
