Sermon: The Enemy (as named by me)

John 10:10
•The devil doesn't just want to knock you down, he wants to take you out
•The enemy wants to set a trap. We often wish we had a sign.

The signs that it's a plan from the enemy are:
•The devil deceives you. (John 8:44)
•The devil promises something he can't give you. (Romans 1:25)
•The enemy is an accuser. (Revelation 12:10) After he tricks us into doing something he makes feel guilty and like a looser.

The devil works in this pattern: Deceive --> Accuse --> Deceive --> Accuse etc.

Romans 6:23
•ALL things from the enemy lead to death.

1 Peter 5:8
•The devil prowls around like a lion---Lions hunt by waiting until one of the animals wanders away from the heard, then attacks that one.

How to Escape the Devil's Plans:
1. Run to God (Hebrews 4:16) thus run to truth. (John 8:32)
2. Do not offer yourself to sin and temptation. (Romans 6:6-14) Offer yourself to Christ.
3. Use the Bible against the enemy.
