Re: Joseph's Interpretation of Pharaoh's dream...
I LOVE that not only does Joseph start by setting the record straight with the Pharaoh, that God (not he) can interpret the dream -- but also that he goes on not only to give God's intrepretation, but the REASON God gave Pharaoh the dream in the first place (b/c God's made his mind up, He's going to do it soon, and Pharaoh needs to prepare.
Then he tells Pharaoh straight-up that he needs to find a wise man to run the show -- implying that Pharoah isn't that man.
Another example of Joseph's humility: He's surely aware at this point how God seems to bless things when he's put in charge of them (Potipher's house, the prison) but he's not presumptuous enough to imply to Pharaoh that he's the man for the job. He simply tells him that he needs SOMEONE smart. God sees to it that Pharaoh puts Joseph in the place He intended for him all along.
