John 8:34-36

Jesus blows my mind again and again. Here he is speaking to the jews, the offspring of abraham. He tells them that the truth will set them free, and they had no idea what he was talking about, because they had never been captive.
In v. 34-36...''Everyone who commits a sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the son sets you free, you are free indeed.

The only reason we, as Christ followers, remain in sin, is because we go back to the ''house'' acc. to verse 35. When we sin, we become slaves, but Jesus has set us free....forever. So why do I keep going back to the slave house? Why do I not want to remain on the outside? I don't ever have to go back again, according to Jesus.
