Temptation…sounds tempting doesn’t it? Even the word gets under your skin. Satan tempted Jesus three times, and three times Jesus punked him out. How did he do it? The spoken word of God…we’ve got that right? But why did it take three times? Sometimes the devil just pushes his luck and doesn’t quit until he is straight up embarrassed. Why don’t we see it like that? We seem to think that we get hit once, we speak a little scripture, and then it all goes back to good. Jesus was tempted again and then again. Most of us would have given up and lost faith…I know I have. Understand that the devil is retarded; he likes getting hit in the face. It’s like you pop someone in the jaw, they come back with their hands down and you’re mad they aren’t knocked out. Sometimes it takes a few! Next time, do yourself a favor and when the devil comes back for more…give it to him!
