Him cuz of You
Long ago the good ole’ US of A was founded to be a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. God loves to exalt the humble when they want to influence those around them for the good. But that’s just it…God exalts the HUMBLE. We are told by Jesus to let our good deeds shine out for all to see. Why? So we can be respected and influential and popular and just the best person we could ever possibly be? Um…no. It’s not for us to be proud of ourselves for not cussing, it’s so everyone will PRAISE our heavenly Father. I’m supposed to be good and do good so that God gets more praise, not so I can receive compliments from my teachers, coaches, and family about how good of a person I am. Our goodness should result in people freaking out about how amazing God is. Go make people praise God because of you today…how sweet will that be? I’m excited to hear!
