You're Blessed

Matthew 5 begins the longest recorded passage of teaching from Jesus in all the gospels, The Sermon on the Mount. He begins with whats has come to be known as "the beatitudes". A poem over sorts reading You're blessed when _____ for yours is the Kingdom of God. The word blessed, can also be translated to mean Happiness. Seeing that the circumstances Jesus tells us we are blessed and receive happiness are less then exciting, what is Jesus teaching us? Jesus is saying that Kingdom Happiness is obtained quite differently than Worldly Happiness. Don't worry when you face tough times because of your decision to pursue Kingdom Happiness. Heaven has far more Happiness to offer that this world. You're blessed. You're Happiness is available. Take it.
