God NEEDS a New ME for a New MOVE!
Theme: Re-Inventing, Deconstruction
Scripture: Luke 5:37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out & the wineskins will be ruined.
Observation: Jesus is pointing out the fact that new wine can only be placed into a new vessel. So leave the old vessels to manage the old wine and create a new vessel to house the new wine! The reason for this is that the old has lost its elasticity and it is not flexible enough to cope with the pressure of the still fermenting forming new wine!
Application: This principle happens on all levels of ministry. Old programs loose their elasticity and they are unable to cope with a new move God wants to do. Old leaders who refuse to change and adapt lose their elasticity to contain the new thing God wants to do.
I ask myself; Kev, do you have the ability to allow God to reinvent you? To reform you, to learn to function in a new paradigm? If you can then God can use you with a new batch of wine. If not, then He can't as He will only lose what he is trying to do and destroy you in the process by your inability to be flexible to the new forming move of God! God needs a New Me for a New Move!
Prayer: Father I give you this time at the Practicum to allow you to deconstruct and reconstruct me in anyway you see fit so that I may be flexible enough for the new move of your Spirit for what you want to do in and through us at CCCLiVE.TV in Burleigh.
