John 8:31-41
I don't want to be a slave to my sin anymore. It seems so easy to just say "Stop doing it" but when the temptation comes talking yourself into it, rather than out of it, is always the easiest thing to do. I want to live in freedom from these things that try to dominate my life. Oftentimes I do them without thinking. I need to be more present in my life, to think about what I'm doing when I'm doing it. To regularly think about the consequences, even when I'm not tempted so that when I am tempted, I'll be trained to respond properly.
The truth isn't some philosophy. The truth can't be relative cause the truth is a person. When was the last time you ever said "Oh, so and so is relative" Relative to what? They exist and there's no away around that.
Jesus exists. He says that he's the way, the truth and the life. We can take him at face value on that or choose to not believe. Either way, the Truth remains the truth.
