From The First Day
Twice in these two chapters we read that God heard Daniel right away. Twice we see an answer given quickly, but delayed for some reason. Why does Daniel get the answer to his prayer released so quickly? Because he is greatly loved. Why was the answer delayed? Because our world is under the authority of powers and principalities we don't see.
I see two things here that impress themselves upon me. First, I know that I am greatly loved, and so God hears me and will answer me. Second, I need to be diligent in seeking Him and persist until His answer reaches me.
Father, thank You for Your Word. I am greatly blesses to know that I am loved and that You hear me. Please encourage me to persist in seeking You and to do so more diligently. Amen.
