Alive
King James version uses "quicken" which means "to make alive." We were born in sin and transgression. Sin causes death, so we were born dead to the spiritual nature. Because of one man's sin, sin came upon man. Because of a man living a sinless life, we are freed and made alive. He has revived us on the cross and made us alive. Even when we may feel dry, alone, unrevived (lies from the devil) Jesus said he will never leave us and never forsake us. We are not dead, we are dry. The Lord knows we can't live on the mountain all the time, because we would never pray! So he picks out the valley for me so that he can meet me there and restore my soul! Our life is worth living because he lives.
