We're not playing a monopoly game where we know the final outcome. We know the goal, but we don't know the answers. Jesus is telling the disciples that they will not always know. He is pushing them to move past their legalistic nature. We have a choice, we are not on a ship that has already set sail and we don't have any ability to steer. We are part of the crew and can help the captain arrive at our final destination.
