A new Song...
Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.
And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.-Psalm 40:1-3
What new song can you think about that has come to you in a "suddenly" moment in your life. It has in mine. Nothing more amazing than to have a new song come up in your spirit and lifting you, strengthening you, fortifying your spirit, renewing a new thing in you for the glory of God...Nothing compares. He continues to tell us the following after that new song has been revealed and placed in our hearts...
Psalm 40:4
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods.--Psalm 40:4
There are measures that we must adhere to...place Him first in our lives for then all other things shall be added unto us. No other god can do this for us for our God is alive and breathing...
My son has blessed me so by graduating the Marine Corps training. He followed in my foot steps and he has begun his life as a Marine, a soldier in the arm forces of the United States of America...I am blessed for he has blessed me and become a man, responsible, humble and chivalrous. A quality, a trait that only comes from someone that wants to be honorable, kind and compassionate for he is now a new man...as a disciple of Christ, born again and living for God in every way possible also helps me understand that I have done an excellent job at raising him.
He told me he had sung several of my songs that I have written while he was going through the training and I was touched immensely by that. Although not a new song, it inspired him to continue, to move on and to not surrender, throw in the towel, or even give up. What it did was to fortify, strengthen and renew his hope in that he has a father that understands his trials, challenges and training because I was there, I am a former Marine.
Such is God to us, there is nothing that we have not gone through that He, Christ Jesus has not experienced. Now, we have that hope, He understands our trials and challenges. That is why we have a hope in Him in that He knows exactly what challenges and trails we face.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank you for understanding our weaknesses, helping us when we need your help, you are our refuge and the Shadow which we hide in for in it we are safe and guarded with your love. May you manifest and reveal yourself in this manner to all that are in this day challenged. AMEN!!! AMEN!!! and AMEN!!!
