Light and Darkness

In this verse God sees that light is good. For something to be good there has to be some contrast of bad. From Genesis 1 we see a separation established; God taking the good(light) and separating it from the evil(darkness).

I think it's important to recognize the existence and separation of evil here day 1, so that when Adam and Eve come on the scene in the next chapter the stage is set for the test. Will Adam choose good(light and life, obedience) or will he choose evil(darkness, doubt of God's goodness)
