The Need for Financial Marrgin

Let's be honest. There are many of us who have not only all we need but we have a lot that we don't need. Our garages are filled with extra stuff that goes beyond the necessities of life. Our social life includes eating out. Bottom line is we have money to spend on things beyond absolute need.

These are all good. God wants us to use money to enjoy life. BUT...not at the expense of spending it all to the point we can't help someone in need.

It is important to have and keep that financial margin specifically to use when the opportunities come up to help someone in need...get groceries, pay rent, get their car repaired, get them gas, etc.

Unfortunately, most Americans have no financial margin. We spend it. We spend every dime and then when an opportunity comes to help, we don't have the money because we have spent it on ourselves...on things beyond our need.

It is foolish to spend everything we make on ourselves. It leaves no margin to say yes to unforeseen opportunities to help others in need.
