I must remember I do nothing through my own power. When I first started I did not know the true meaning of depending on God. I missed many opportunities our God had placed before me to do Godly acts through the blessings he had given me. Instead I acted through my own understanding of the situation.
What I learned from Peter in these passages is we must learn from our past. Peter had many opportunities before to act in a manner that would reflect wonderfully on what he was taught by Christ. He learned that and instead of angrily addressing the those who were responsible for killing Christ, he instead blessed them with the Love of God. For this Peter was Blessed with out measure. When I learn this and can live it, I then will truly live in the light of the Lord.
