Isaiah's Naked Illustration
Isaiah was so bold and so willing to listen and obey the voice of God. God asked him to walk around naked for three years as a visual sermon illustration that would preach to Egypt and Cush and inform them of their coming destruction at the hands of the king of Assyria. That is insane! Yet, Isaiah obeyed God.
Would I be obedient to do something that crazy and drastic and counter-cultural for God if He asked me? God is looking for people who are totally sold out for Him and are willing to do craziness for His purposes. I have a friend who felt called to move to Haiti to help in the rebuilding process there and he sold his house and all his possessions and left. What faith!!! I want that sort of faith and obedience!
