An example for fathers
I have read these passages many times, but tonight, this stuck out to me. I hope at the end of my life that my children would say that what I have taught them as their dad did not lead them astray, but led them towards life. I am not suggesting a life of a perfect example. Of course that is unattainable. But I think of the one-on-one moments (as I think Solomon subtly pictures). In those moments, when I have their full attention, I hope to dispense words of life and truth from God's Word. I pray they will look back and see that their father was intentional about that, and that what I said led them on the right path.
