The Mystery: Revealed
Nearly 2,000 years later, we've forgotten about the "mystery", which is not simply Christ Himself. According to both Ephesians and Colossians, the mystery of the ages is Christ bringing the Jews and Gentiles together as His body, the Church or "Ekklessia", those called out.
Reading the Scriptures of the Old Covenant, we recognize that the law separated the Gentile nations from the Jews, creating enmity, but that through the risen Christ both Jews and Gentiles are one.
By divine ordination, the Jewish nation rejected Jesus and was scattered, held captive without a land for nearly 2,000 years, in order that the Gospel would be sent fully to the Gentiles and not held back by those trying to keep the law after Christ had risen.
Now the Gospel begins to turn back to the Jews, where God is gathering people from.
This is the wonderful mystery revealed: that Christ would dwell in the hearts of Gentiles. And how wonderful it is!
